Shiraz – Baha’i adherent Armaghan Yazdani arrested by IRGC Intelligence Forces

Armaghan Yazdani, a Baha’i adherent residing in Shiraz, was arrested by agents of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Yazdani was detained on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in Shiraz.
Sources familiar with the incident reported that IRGC intelligence agents apprehended Yazdani on the street and escorted her, along with her mother and sister, back to their home. Following her arrest, the agents conducted a thorough search of the residence.
During the raid, authorities confiscated several of Yazdani’s personal belongings, including her mobile phone, identification documents, books, and educational materials.
No detailed information is available regarding the reasons for her arrest, her current whereabouts, or the charges brought against her.
Yazdani is the fiancée of Vahid Masoumi, a fellow Baha’i adherent who was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence in November of last year. Masoumi was released on bail in late December, pending the outcome of judicial proceedings.
