Sama Amoushahi Re-arrested in Isfahan by Iranian security forces

Sama Amoushahi, a resident of Isfahan who had been detained last year as well, has once again been arrested by a raid of security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the early hours of Saturday, May 25, 2024, raided the private home of Sama Amoushahi in the city of Isfahan and arrested her.

Sama Amoushahi suffers from thyroid cancer and currently, her access to her medications has been cut off, which seriously jeopardizes her health.

It is worth noting that Sama Amoushahi was arrested by security forces on July 11, 2023, and later transferred to the Dowlatabad prison in Isfahan. She later faced charges in a case at Branch 13 of the General and Revolutionary Courts of Isfahan.

This individual was eventually released from prison on bail on August 14, 2023, temporarily until the end of the legal proceedings.
