Retired Teacher Mostafa Rebati Arrested by Iranian Security Forces in Tehran

Mostafa Rebati, a retired teacher and an activist for teachers' union in North Khorasan Province, was arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an unknown location.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, June 9, 2024, Mostafa Rebati, a native of Shirvan in North Khorasan Province, was violently arrested in Tehran.

The arrest of this retired teacher followed his participation in last year's protest gathering of retirees in front of the Ministry of Education in Tehran, where he read the protestors' statement.

Informed sources report that Mostafa Rebati was arrested by "Special Unit" security forces while traveling from Tehran to Shirvan after the gathering and has been transferred to an unknown location.
