Kurdish Man Violently Arrested by Iranian Security Forces

Edris Dadras, a Kurdish resident of Marivan in Kurdistan Province (Sanandaj), was violently arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on June 25, 2024, Edris Dadras, 47, who resides in the village of Sardush in Marivan, was apprehended at his private residence by officers from the intelligence department.

An informed source reported that intelligence officers severely beat Edris Dadras in front of his wife and five children. During the arrest, several of Dadras’s personal belongings, including his mobile phone, were confiscated by the officers.

As of the release of this report, there is no precise information available regarding the reasons for the arrest, the charges against Dadras, or his current whereabouts.
