Kurdish Woman Arrested by Iranian Government Forces in Baneh

A young Kurdish woman, identified as Delovan Sharifi, has been arrested by Iranian government forces in the city of Baneh, Kurdistan (Sanandaj) Province. Her whereabouts are unknown.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Saturday, July 6, 2024, Delovan Sharifi, a 20-year-old resident of Saqqez, was arrested by Iranian intelligence forces and taken to an unknown location.

Informed sources indicate that the family's efforts to ascertain her whereabouts have so far been unsuccessful, and security agencies have refrained from providing any specific information regarding her situation.
