Executions in Dizelabad Prison, Kermanshah, Rise to Two

Khalil Jamali, a Kurdish prisoner from Sarpol-e-Zahab in Kermanshah province, was executed yesterday in Dizelabad Prison, raising the number of executions to two. Hengaw also reported the execution of Daniyal Kazeminejad yesterday.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday morning, July 21, 2024, the death sentence of a prisoner identified as Khalil Jamali from Sarpol-e-Zahab, who was previously sentenced to death for premeditated murder, was carried out in Kermanshah Central Prison (Dizelabad).

According to an informed source, Khalil Jamali was arrested and sentenced to death two years ago by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s judiciary on the charge of murdering his cousin.

To date, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in the Iranian state media, especially the media affiliated with the judiciary.

Hengaw reported the execution of Daniyal Kazeminejad, a Kurdish citizen from Eslamabad-e-Gharb (Shabad), in connection with the murder case of an IRGC member identified as Sajad Amiri in Dizelabad prison.
