Zahra Tamadon, a nurse from Masih Daneshvari Hospital in Tehran, has been arrested by Iranian authorities, and her current whereabouts remain unknown.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, Zahra Tamadon, the head of the 10th ward at Masih Daneshvari Hospital, was arrested along with several other nurses whose identities have not yet been confirmed.

According to informed sources, this individual's arrest may be linked to her involvement in recent nurses' protests and strikes that have taken place in hospitals across various cities in Iran.

It is important to note that these strikes, which have reportedly involved 50 hospitals and medical centers according to Iranian government authorities, are driven by nurses demanding a livelihood that meets the standards of a prosperous life, the elimination of forced overtime, and the removal of security institutions whose purpose is to threaten and intimidate.
