16-Year-Old Baloch Boy, Amir Mohammad Irandegani, Arrested and Disappeared by Iranian Security Forces in Urmia

A 16-year-old Baloch boy, Amir Mohammad Irandegani, from Khash, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, was arrested by Iranian Intelligence forces in Urmia and transferred to a detention center of this security agency in Zahedan. Several days have passed, and no information about his fate has been made available.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Hunan Rights, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, Amir Mohammad Irandegani, a 16-year-old Baloch boy from the village of Zirkeik in the Irandegan region of Khash, was arrested by Iranian Intelligence forces in Urmia and transferred to their detention center in Zahedan. No information about his fate has been available for several days.

According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, the boy was arrested by Intelligence agents at the home of one of his relatives in Urmia.

To date, no detailed information has been made available regarding the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, or his current status.
