The Death Sentences of Two Prisoners Carried out in Qazvin Prison

The death sentences of two Turkish prisoners, Saeed Alimardani and Mohammad Ghasaban, were carried out in Qazvin Central Prison. These two prisoners had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Monday, September 23, 2024, the death sentences of 40-year-old Mohammad Ghasaban from Qazvin and 45-year-old Saeed Alimardani from Tabriz were carried out in Qazvin Central Prison.
These two prisoners were arrested two years ago in a joint case related to drugs and were ultimately sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
To date, the news of the execution of these prisoners has not been announced in Iranian state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
