Iran Arrests Kurdish Nurse in Sanandaj, Whereabouts Unknown

Wria Nezami, a Kurdish nurse from Divandarreh residing in Sanandaj, was arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran five days ago, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, security forces arrested Wria Nezami, a 31-year-old nurse at the Sanandaj Wound Clinic, at his home in Sanandaj. He was taken to an undisclosed location, and five days later, no information has been provided about his whereabouts or condition.

Informed sources reported that the arrest was made without the presentation of a search warrant.

As of now, no specific information has been released regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges against him.
