Young Kurdish man fatally shot by Police forces in Iran

A young Kurdish man from Kermanshah, named Mehrshad Almasi, was killed by direct gunfire from the police forces in Kermanshah (Kermanshan)
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Mehrshad Almasi, 22 years old resident the Anahita neighborhood of Kermanshah, lost his life near the recreational and historical area of Taqbastan due to gunfire from the police forces.
Sources close to Mehrshad Almasi's family stated that, the young man was shot twice by military bullets after he had distanced himself from the location in an attempt to prevent the confiscation of his motorcycle.
The source also added that the officer who fired recklessly at the young victim had previously shot directly at individuals and suspects in similar incidents.
