Kurdish woman sentenced to imprisonment by Iranian Judiciary

Manizhe Khoshnoud, a Kurdish woman from Bukan, has been sentenced to 10 months of imprisonment by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights Organization, Manizhe Khoshnoud, 56, was recently sentenced to 10 months of imprisonment for “propaganda against the state” by Branch 101 of the Second Criminal Court of Bukan. The ruling was officially delivered to her on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
It is worth noting that Khoshnoud was arrested on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, when security forces raided her family home in Bukan without presenting a search warrant. During the raid, the forces searched her home and confiscated her mobile phone.
After 37 days in detention, Khoshnoud was temporarily released on bail on Thursday, September 5, 2024, pending the completion of her trial process.
