Kurdish woman sentenced to imprisonment by Iranian judiciary

Zahra Sajedinia, a Kurdish woman from Bukan has been sentenced to 10 months of imprisonment by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Zahra Sajedinia, 38, was recently sentenced by Branch 101 of the Bukan Criminal Court II on charges of “propaganda against the state.” The ruling was officially communicated to her on September 29, 2024.
According to the verdict, Sajedinia has 20 days to appeal the court’s decision.
It is worth noting that Zahra Sajedinia was arrested on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, after being summoned to the Bukan Intelligence Office. She was subsequently transferred to the intelligence agency’s detention center in Urmia. She was later released on bail, pending the completion of judicial proceedings.
