Awara Shakhsi, a Kurdish man from Rabat District, Sardasht County, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, intelligence agents arrested 29-year-old Awara Shakhsi from Nastan village, located in the Rabat District of Sardasht County, on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

The arrest was carried out when Shakhsi was accompanying his child to a Kurdish language class. Witnesses report that the arrest was conducted without the presentation of an arrest warrant.

As of this report, no information has been provided by authorities regarding the reasons for the arrest, the charges against Shakhsi, or his current whereabouts.
