Public execution carried out in Esfarayen

The death sentence of Shu'aib Razapour, a Kurdish prisoner convicted of premeditated murder, was carried out in public in Esfarayen, North Khorasan Province.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Friday, February 28, 2025, Shu'aib Razapour, a 30-year-old resident of Sost village, Esfarayen, was executed in public near Behesht Bridge in the city.
A source close to Razapour’s family, told Hengaw that he had been married and imprisoned for three years on charges of premeditated murder during a group altercation. He was convicted of killing a man named Alireza Farzaneh, a resident of Esfarayen.
Razapour was ultimately sentenced to death by Branch Two of the Criminal Court One in Bojnord.
Without disclosing the identity of the executed person, Seyed Javad Elahi, the Attorney General of North Khorasan Province, confirmed to state-affiliated media, including IRIB, that the execution was carried out at the crime scene near Behesht Bridge in Esfarayen.
