Yousif Keramat, a Kurdish resident of Naqadeh, has been arrested to serve his sentence. He had previously been sentenced to six months of imprisonment by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, 26-year-old Yousif (Ehsan) Keramat was summoned to the Naqadeh Enforcement of Sentences Office, where he was taken into custody. He was subsequently transferred to Naqadeh Central Prison to serve his six-month prison term.

Hengaw has learned that Naqadeh Revolutionary Court has recently sentenced Yousif Keramat to six months of imprisonment on charges of “propaganda against the regime.” He was initially arrested by security forces last year and was later released on bail after a period of detention.

It is noteworthy that during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” (Woman, Life, Freedom) movement, Yousif Keramat was detained for a week by security forces and subjected to torture.
