Mashhad court sentences Seyed Javad Hoseininejad to 18 months in prison

Seyed Javad Hoseininejad, a political prisoner held in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, has been sentenced to one year and six months of imprisonment by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Javad Hoseininejad, 36 years old, a father of one and a resident of Mashhad, was sentenced to 18 months of imprisonment by Branch One of the Mashhad Revolutionary Court on charges of “propaganda against the regime” and “disturbing public opinion.”

Previously, He had also been sentenced to eight months in prison by the same court. Javad Hoseininejad was arrested by security forces in late October this year and has been held in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad since.

Hoseininejad has a history of previous arrests and judicial confrontations.
