Newroz celebrations in Kurdistan: Three men Salman Pasang, Hadi Jamaei, and Abubakr Irandoust arrested in Piranshahr and Oshnavieh

Salman Pasang, a Kurdish resident of Piranshahr, along with two Kurdish men from Oshnavieh (Shno), Hadi Jamaei and Abubakr Irandoust, were arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in connection with the Newroz celebrations and transferred to an undisclosed location.  

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, Abubakr Irandoust, 47, and Hadi Jamaei, 48, both from Oshnavieh, were arrested.  

Informed sources reported that the arrest of these two men was carried out with violence by the IRGC Intelligence forces at their workplace.  

Additionally, on the evening of Saturday, March 15, Salman Pasang, from the village of Shinabad (Shinawe) in Piranshahr, was arrested by state security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.  

It is noteworthy that the arrest of Salman Pasang, Hadi Jamaei, and Abubakr Irandoust was in connection with the celebration of the Newroz ceremony in the cities of Piranshahr and Oshnavieh.
