Alireza Ahmadpour executed at Qazvin Central Prison on drug charges

The death sentence of Gilak prisoner Alireza Ahmadpour was carried out at Qazvin Central Prison. He had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Alireza Ahmadpour, a 45-year-old from Rasht, was executed at dawn on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

He had earlier been arrested on charges related to drug crimes and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
