Executions of eight prisoners carried out in prisons across Iran

At least eight prisoners, including two Kurds, two Lors, two Turks, and one Gilak, were executed in prisons across Iran in recent days. The prisoners had previously been sentenced to death on charges related to “premeditated murder” and drug-related offenses.

According to reports received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution of Vali Moradi, a Turkish prisoner, was carried out in Khoy Central Prison in the early hours of Wednesday, June 10, 2026. He had previously been sentenced to death for “premeditated murder.”

Zakariya Khezernezhad, a Kurdish prisoner from Maku, was executed in Maku Central Prison later the same day after being convicted of “premeditated murder.”

Farhad Minaei, a 40-year-old Lor from Borujerd, and Hossein Salehpour, a Persian prisoner from Shiraz, were executed in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad) in the early hours of Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Both had been sentenced to death in separate drug-related cases. Minaei had spent two years in prison, while Salehpour had been on death row for four years.

Daryoush Qobadi, a Kurdish prisoner from Kermanshah (Kermashan), was executed in Dizel Abad Prison on June 9. He had been convicted of killing five people, including four members of his family and another individual. Arrested three years earlier, he was sentenced to five counts of qisas (retributive execution).

Reza Qanbarlou, a 45-year-old Gilak from Rasht, was executed in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan the same day. Married and the father of two children, he had been sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of Isfahan after being arrested five years earlier on drug-related charges.

Karamat Mansouri, a 53-year-old Turkish prisoner, was executed in Shirvan Central Prison in North Khorasan Province in the early hours of Monday, June 1, 2026. 

Mansouri, a father of four from the village of Baghan near Shirvan, had been sentenced to qisas after being convicted of “premeditated murder” in a case dating back approximately five years.

Ahmadreza Torabi, a 32-year-old Lor from Khorramabad, was executed in Khorramabad Central Prison (Parsilon Prison) on May 14, 2026. He had been sentenced to qisas for “premeditated murder” following a fatal street altercation about five years earlier.

The executions of these eight prisoners have not been announced by Iranian state media or official institutions affiliated with the Judiciary.
