Seven prisoners executed in prisons across Iran, including three Kurds and one Arab

The death sentences of seven prisoners, including three Kurdish men and one Arab, were carried out in recent days in the central prisons of Kermanshah, Qazvin, Ahvaz, and Rasht. These prisoners had previously been convicted on charges ranging from homicide to drug-related offenses.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Wednesday, May 28, 2025, Khodayar Keyfari, a Kurdish man from the city of Sahneh, and Alimorad Ranjbaran, a 29-year-old from Qazvin, were executed in Qazvin Central Prison. On the same day, Mohammad Shahmoradi, 29, and Farhoud Hosseini, 28, both Kurds from Kermanshah, were executed in Kermanshah Central Prison. Additionally, Taleb Ahmadpour, a 32-year-old Arab from Ahvaz, was hanged in Ahvaz Central Prison, while Safar Kamali, 36, from Karaj, was executed in Qom Central Prison.

Khodayar Keyfari had been imprisoned for four years, while Ahmadpour, Shahmoradi, Kamali, and Hosseini had each been sentenced to death in separate cases involving drug-related charges. Alimorad Ranjbaran had been convicted of homicide and was in prison for four years prior to his execution.

In a separate case, on the morning of Tuesday, May 27, Aziz Sedaghat, approximately 40 years old and a native of Gorgan, was executed in Rasht Central Prison. He had been sentenced to death three years earlier on drug-related charges.

None of these executions have been officially reported in state media or by outlets affiliated with the Iranian judiciary.
