Eight prisoners executed in multiple facilities across Iran

Iranian authorities have carried out the executions of eight prisoners in eight detention facilities across the country on charges including “drug-related crimes” and “premeditated murder.”
Information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights indicates that Mola Morad Ghobadi, Hossein Morad Zamani, and Khodayar Mirzazadeh were executed at dawn in the facilities of Bojnord (North Khorasan), Ferdows (South Khorasan), and Taybad (Razavi Khorasan) on Thursday, January 1, 2026, on charges related to “drug-related crimes.”
Amir Jafari-Rad, a Gilak man from Sari, and Erfan Sheikh Eslami, an Arab man from Mahshahr in Khuzestan province, were also executed on charges of “premeditated murder” in the detention facilities of Sari and Mahshahr on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
In another case, Shayan Karami, a Lor prisoner, was executed on charges of “premeditated murder” in the Behbahan facility in Khuzestan on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
Ahmad Nadi, a Kurdish prisoner from Mahabad, was executed on charges of “premeditated murder” in the Bukan facility on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Separately, Farhang Faramarzi Pour (Alidadi), a 30-year-old Baloch man from Kahnooj in Kerman province and the father of one child, was executed in the Kahnooj facility on Monday, October 20, 2025. He had been arrested around six years earlier in connection with a fatal shooting reportedly linked to celebratory gunfire at a wedding.
State media, particularly outlets affiliated with Iran’s judiciary, have not announced these executions.
