Nine prisoners executed in multiple Iranian prisons
Hengaw – Tuesday, December 30, 2025
Iran has executed nine prisoners in prisons across Jiroft, Borazjan, Ilam, Bam, Ahvaz, Yazd, Khaf, Birjand, and Semnan. The prisoners had previously been sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary on charges of premeditated murder or drug-related offenses.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the death sentences of Sajjad Veysi from Jiroft (Kerman Province), Ali Akbar Barzegar from Borazjan (Bushehr Province), and Peyman Zamani, a Kurdish man from Darreh Shahr (Ilam Province), were carried out at dawn on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the prisons of Jiroft, Borazjan, and Ilam.
On the same day, three other prisoners were executed in the prisons of Bam, Ahvaz (Sepidar Prison), and Yazd. They have been identified as Yahya Panahi Rad from Bam (Kerman Province), Amin Khosroabadi, an Arab man from Ahvaz, and Mahmoud Zarei. These prisoners had been convicted on charges related to murder and drug offenses.
Continuing the executions that day, the death sentences of Khodarahm Ahmadi, Ali Mohammad Dastar, and Mansour Rigi (Chakerzehi) — a 38-year-old Baloch prisoner from Zahedan and father of four — were carried out in the prisons of Khaf (Razavi Khorasan Province), Birjand (South Khorasan Province), and Semnan.
According to Haalvsh, Mansour Rigi had been arrested a year earlier on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. He was transferred to the prison quarantine ward for execution on Saturday, December 27, and allowed a final visit with his family. The two other prisoners had also previously been sentenced to death on similar charges.
None of these executions have been reported by Iranian state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
