Four prisoners executed in Hamedan, Isfahan, and Qom

The death sentences of four prisoners—Mohammad Amin Kolsoomi, Jafar Ghorbani, Saeed Kashani, and Meysam Khazaei—have been carried out in the central prisons of Hamedan, Isfahan, and Qom. All had been convicted of either intentional murder or drug-related offenses.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Saeed Kashani was executed in Hamedan Central Prison on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, following his conviction for intentional murder. One day earlier, on Tuesday, May 20, Meysam Khazaei was executed in Qom Central Prison on similar charges.

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, 35-year-old Jafar Ghorbani was executed in Isfahan Central Prison, commonly known as Dastgerd, three years after receiving a death sentence for murder.

In a separate case, the Iran Human Rights Organization reported that Mohammad Amin Kolsoomi, who had been convicted on drug-related charges, was executed on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in the same prison in Isfahan after spending three years on death row.

None of these executions have been officially announced by Iranian state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
