Seven prisoners executed in Shiraz and Isfahan Prisons

The death sentences of seven prisoners, previously convicted on charges of premeditated murder or drug-related offenses, have been carried out in the prisons of Shiraz and Isfahan.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the death sentences of four prisoners were implemented at dawn on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad). They have been identified as Hamid Yousefzahi, a 37-year-old Baloch man from Tabasin village in Nehbandan; Naser Karbakhsh, 39, a Turkmen prisoner from Dargaz in Razavi Khorasan; Ahmad Soltani, 32, from Shiraz; and Majid Khakzad, a 29-year-old Arab man from Ahvaz.

Yousefzahi had been arrested six years ago; Karbakhsh two years ago on drug-related charges; Soltani four years ago on a murder charge; and Khakzad four years ago following an altercation that led to a murder accusation. All four were subsequently sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

On the same day, the death sentences of three additional prisoners — Mohammad Dadkhah, from Najafabad in Isfahan; Sadegh Rafiei, 33, from Falavarjan; and Maziar Abbasi-Rad, 28, from Shahinshahr — were carried out in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd).

Dadkhah had been arrested four years ago on a charge of premeditated murder. Rafiei was arrested eight years ago on charges of rape and premeditated murder. Abbasi-Rad had been detained around two years ago on a rape charge. All three were sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

None of these executions have been reported by Iranian state media or outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
