Two Balochs killed in Iranshahr and Zahedan by gunfire from state forces

Hosniyeh Kalkali, a Baloch teacher who was wounded by plainclothes state forces in Iranshahr, has died from her injuries. In a separate incident, Mostafa Rakhshani, a Baloch man, also lost his life two days after being shot by unidentified armed men in Zahedan.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, 41-year-old Kalkali—a mother of four from the village of Surap in Iranshahr—passed away at Khatam al-Anbiya Hospital in Zahedan due to severe internal infection and critical injuries.
As reported by Haalvsh, Kalkali was shot on June 18 near the Army Township roundabout (Falakeh-ye Shahrak-e Artesh) in Iranshahr during a car chase, when plainclothes state forces opened fire on a vehicle.
No government, judicial, or security authority of the Islamic Republic has taken responsibility for the shooting.
In a separate case, on Thursday, June 19, 2025, 29-year-old Rakhshani, a resident of Zahedan, died in hospital from severe gunshot wounds.
He had been shot two days earlier, on the evening of Monday, June 17, in front of his home on Jam-e Jam 10 Street in Zahedan. The gunmen fled the scene immediately after opening fire.
