Hengaw – Thursday, June 25, 2026

Iranian authorities have arrested four Baloch adults in separate incidents in Rask, Rudbar-e Jonub, and Jask, including a woman whose one-year-old son was also detained. Authorities detained the child alongside his mother in an apparent act of hostage-taking intended to pressure her absent husband.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Kobra Narouei, 37, and her one-year-old son, Saman Narouei, were arrested after government forces raided their home in Heydarabad village, Rudbar-e Jonub County, Kerman Province, on Saturday, June 20, 2026. They were transferred to an undisclosed location.

Narouei and her child were detained after authorities failed to find her husband, Mahmoud Narouei, at the house. Their detention was intended as an act of hostage-taking to pressure him into surrendering.

In a separate case, Imran Irandoust, a 28-year-old married father of three from Mitgan village in Sarbaz County, was arrested while traveling from Sarbaz to Chabahar on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. He was stopped at the Jakigur road police checkpoint in Rask County and transferred to an undisclosed location.

Government forces violently arrested Irandoust after stopping his vehicle at the checkpoint because he was not carrying identification documents. During the arrest, he was beaten before being transferred to an undisclosed location.

Meanwhile, Hamzeh Torabi, a 25-year-old Sunni seminary student from Parkuh village in Jask, was arrested after responding to a summons from the Intelligence Department in Jask on Sunday, June 21, 2026. He was subsequently transferred to Bandar Abbas.

About one month earlier, his 30-year-old brother, Taleb Torabi, was arrested on charges of "links to armed groups opposed to the state" and transferred to an undisclosed location. No information about his fate or whereabouts has been made available since.

The families' efforts to obtain information about the detainees' whereabouts and condition have so far been unsuccessful.

The authorities have not disclosed the reasons for the arrests, any charges against the detainees, or their current whereabouts.
