Hedi Shadikhah receives 22-Month prison sentence in Oshnavieh

Hedi Shadikhah, a Kurdish man from Oshnavieh (Shno), has been sentenced to one year and 10 months in prison by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the sentence was handed down by Branch 101 of the Second Criminal Court in Oshnavieh. Shadikhah, a resident of the village of Singan in the Oshnavieh district, was convicted on charges of “collaboration with Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan.”
He was arrested in the early hours of Monday, December 30, 2024, at his family home in Singan.
Hengaw had previously reported that agents from the Intelligence Department used intimidation and physical force during the arrest and conducted a search of his home.
On Monday, February 17, 2025, Shadikhah was temporarily released from prison after posting bail in the amount of 700 million toman, pending the completion of legal proceedings.
