Retired teacher Masoumeh Shahnavaz arrested following online reaction to Israeli strikes

Retired teacher Masoumeh Shahnavaz, a resident of Sabzevar in Razavi Khorasan Province, was arrested by security forces after reacting online to Israeli airstrikes targeting military sites in Iran.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Friday, June 13, 2025, agents from the Ministry of Intelligence raided Shahnavaz’s home in Sabzevar. She was arrested with force and transferred to an unknown location.
Sources familiar with the situation reported that her home was searched during the arrest, and some of her personal belongings were confiscated.
Her son, Shahram Sadidi, confirmed that the arrest followed his mother’s reaction to the Israeli airstrikes. He also voiced serious concern for her health, noting that she has undergone two open-heart surgeries and is in vulnerable physical condition.
