Police forces fatally shoot Kurdish man from Ilam in Tehran

Ebrahim Ebrahim-Nasab, a 42-year-old Kurdish construction worker from Ilam, was shot dead by direct fire from the Islamic Republic of Iran’s police forces in Baqerabad, Qarchak County, Tehran Province.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ebrahim-Nasab was killed on Friday, August 15, 2025, when police forces opened fire in Baqerabad, Qarchak.

A source close to the victim’s family stated that police officers, while attempting to arrest a suspect, arbitrarily opened fire and fatally targeted Ebrahim-Nasab.

The identity of the suspect, the nature of the charges, and further details regarding the killing remain unclear.
