Iranian authorities arrest lawyer Shahrazad Sharbiani in Rasht

Iranian security forces have arrested Shahrazad Sharbiani, a Gilak lawyer from Rasht, and transferred her to Lakan Prison.
Based on Information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Sharbiani was arrested on Saturday, August 31, 2025.
Sources report that she has been accused of “propaganda against the state,” with the Ministry of Intelligence identified as the security authority handling her case.
