Seven prisoners, including one woman, executed in Rasht Prison in a single day

The death sentences of seven prisoners, including one woman who had all been sentenced to death on drug-related charges, were carried out in Lakan Prison in Rasht within a single day. They have been identified as Mahbubeh Jalali, Kourosh Nasrollahzadeh, Farhad Hatami, Amir Nazari, Meysam Bagheri, Siamak Khadem, and Hamed Hanifeh,

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, October 25, 2025, the executions of these seven prisoners were implemented in Rasht Central Prison.

Those executed were identified as Mahbubeh Jalali (38), a Gilak woman from Rudsar; Kourosh Nasrollahzadeh (48), a Gilak man from Fuman and father of two; Farhad Hatami, a Kurdish man from Kangavar, Kermanshah Province; Amir Nazari; Meysam Bagheri (34), from Karaj; Siamak Khadem, a Gilak man from Lahijan; and Hamed Hanifeh, a Turkish man from Abyek, Qazvin Province.

Amir Nazari, Mahbubeh Jalali (detained four years ago), Kourosh Nasrollahzadeh (three years ago), Farhad Hatami (around three years ago), Meysam Bagheri (six years ago), and Siamak Khadem and Hamed Hanifeh (seven years ago, in a joint case) were all arrested separately on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

Mahbubeh Jalali was arrested along with a man to whom she was temporarily married (sigheh). The man claimed that the narcotics found belonged to her. Kourosh Nasrollahzadeh was arrested together with his wife and two children — his wife was sentenced to four years in prison, while their children were later released.

The executions of these seven prisoners have not been reported by state-affiliated media, particularly those close to the Iranian judiciary.
