Baha’i adherent Afshin Haghighat arrested by Iranian security forces in Shiraz

Afshin Haghighat, a Baha’i resident of Shiraz, was arrested by Iranian security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, security agents raided Haghighat’s home in Shiraz and arrested him.
During the arrest, the agents searched the house and confiscated several electronic devices and religious books belonging to Haghighat and his family members.
No information has been made available regarding the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, or his current whereabouts.
