Three young Baha’is arrested in Shiraz

Iranian security forces arrested three young Baha’is, Sarina Zaeri, Barbod Sepehri, and Arshia Jaberi, during simultaneous raids on their family homes in Shiraz and transferred them to undisclosed locations.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the three were arrested on Monday, September 14, 2026. Zaeri is 20 years old, Sepehri 21, and Jaberi 19.

Hengaw has learned that between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m., security forces separately and simultaneously raided the three family homes without warrants. The forces arrested them, thoroughly searched the homes, and confiscated personal belongings, electronic devices, and items related to their Baha’i faith.

The reasons for their arrests, the authorities responsible, the charges against them, and their places of detention remain unknown.

Zaeri has a chronic respiratory condition and has been denied access to her specialized medication. Her continued detention without information about her whereabouts has caused serious concern among her family and those close to her.
