Medical neglect in Kermanshah Central Prison kills Nader Jameh-Shourani

A prisoner at Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah (Kermashan), Nader Jameh-Shourani, died after authorities failed to provide urgent medical treatment and delayed his transfer to hospital.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Jameh-Shourani, a 42-year-old resident of Mahidasht district, suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Despite clear signs of a medical emergency, prison officials did not transfer him to medical care in time, leading to his death.
Jameh Shorani was arrested around 20 days ago on charges of “robbery” from a jewelry store in Sanandaj (Sine).
After being sentenced to prison, he was transferred to Dizelabad Prison to serve his sentence.
