Security forces fatally shoot 27-year-old hiker Reza Adinvand

A man identified as Reza Adinvand, 27, died after being shot by Iranian security forces while on a nature outing near Kuhdasht in Lorestan Province. He was targeted without prior warning while hiking.
According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Adinvand was shot on Saturday, November 1, 2025, sustaining critical injuries. He was transferred to hospital and remained in serious condition following the shooting.
Adinvand passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, after three days in medical care. Local sources stated that he was unarmed and engaged in recreational hiking when security forces opened fire.
