Mahdieh Keyhani executed in Hamedan Central Prison

Iranian authorities carried out the execution of a Turkish woman, Mahdieh Keyhani, in Hamedan Central Prison after she had previously been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder.”

Information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights indicates that the execution was carried out in the early hours of Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Keyhani, 41, was from Tabriz and was executed in Hamedan Central Prison.

She had been arrested five years ago in Hamedan on charges of killing her husband and was later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

State-run media, particularly outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not announced the execution.
