Eight prisoners executed across Iran in multiple provinces

Iranian authorities executed eight prisoners in facilities across Bojnourd, Mahshahr, Quchan, Damghan, Ferdows, Zanjan, Shiraz and Ilam. All eight had previously been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder” or “drug-related offences” by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights indicates that Karam Khoda Sepehri and Amin Mahdavi, an Arab citizen from Mahshahr, were executed at dawn on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Sepehri and Mahdavi had been convicted on drug-related offences and premeditated murder, and their sentences were carried out in Bojnourd Prison in North Khorasan Province and Mahshahr Prison in Khuzestan Province.
Three other prisoners, Esfandiar Zakipour, Farshid Karami and Aziz Sheikhi, were put to death at dawn on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, on drug-related charges in Quchan Prison in Razavi Khorasan Province, and in the prisons of Damghan and Ferdows in South Khorasan Province.
On the same day, Amir Reza Shah-Mohammadi, a Turk from Zanjan, and Malek Gerayi, a Kurd from Ilam, were executed on charges of premeditated murder. Hamed Kazazi was also executed on drug-related offences. These executions took place in Zanjan, Ilam and Adelabad Prison in Shiraz.
State media, including outlets close to Iran’s judiciary, had not reported these executions.
