Three members of one family killed during protests in Fardis, Karaj

Omid Teymourirad, Amir Teymourirad, and Armin Teymourirad, all members of the same family and residents of Fardis, Karaj, were killed by direct gunfire from Iranian government forces during popular protests in the city. Another member of the family was also seriously injured after being struck by live ammunition.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Omid Teymourirad (47), his brother Amir Teymourirad (42), and his son Armin Teymourirad (19) were shot and killed during popular protests in the city on the evening of Friday, January 9, 2026.

Malika Teymourirad, a cousin of the victims, told Hengaw that all three family members were shot simultaneously by live ammunition fired by government forces and died as a result.

She added that Omid Teymourirad's wife, who is also the mother of Armin Teymourirad, was also struck by live bullets during the same incident and sustained serious injuries.
