Three prisoners executed at Shiraz Central Prison

The death sentences of three prisoners, Khalil Rahmani, Fahim Rasoulzadeh, and Asghar Shahi, have been carried out at Shiraz Central Prison (Adel Abad).

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the three men had previously been sentenced to death in separate cases by the Iranian judiciary on charges of “armed robbery” or “rape,” and were executed at dawn on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Rahmani, 30, was from Hamadan; Rasoulzadeh, 26, from Kazerun; and Shahi, 28, from Isfahan.

Shahi had been detained for around two years on charges of rape. Rahmani had been imprisoned for approximately three years on charges of armed robbery, while Rasoulzadeh had been held for about two years on similar charges before being sentenced to death.

The executions of these prisoners have not been announced by state-run media, including outlets affiliated with Iran’s judiciary.
