December Protests – Ten Kurds, including one child, arrested in Gilan-e Gharb, Javanrud, and Sanandaj

At least ten Kurdish individuals, including one child and three people who were injured at the time of arrest, have been detained by Iranian government forces in the cities of Gilan-e Gharb, Javanrud, and Sanandaj (Sine) and transferred to undisclosed locations.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, seven residents of Gilan-e Gharb were arrested by government forces on Thursday, January 8, 2026, and taken to unknown locations. They have been identified as Aliashraf Pishgam, Sina Karami, Bardia Darvishi, Alishah Shirmohammadpour, Sahand Shirmohammadpour, Sajad Parvazi, and Mehdi Ahmadi.
Hengaw sources report that Sajad Parvazi, Mehdi Ahmadi, and Aliashraf Pishgam had sustained injuries prior to their arrest and were taken into custody despite their poor physical condition.
On the same day, two residents of Javanrud, including one child, were arrested. They have been identified as Sina Ahmadi and Asu Keykhosravi, a 17-year-old minor.
Later that day, Behnam Fatehi, a resident of Sanandaj, was also arrested by government forces. He works as a mechanic and has previously been detained, according to informed sources.
Following their arrests, all detainees were transferred to undisclosed locations, and no information has been released regarding their whereabouts, health condition, or legal status.
