Six Kurds arrested in Ilam and North Khorasan provinces

At least six Kurdish individuals were arrested by Iranian authorities in the cities of Ilam, Sarableh, Chavar, Asemanabad, and Abdanan in Ilam Province, as well as in Shirvan County in North Khorasan Province. Authorities transferred them to undisclosed locations.
Shirvan
Hassan Zare, a 30-year-old from the village of Googoli in Shirvan County, was arrested on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Forty-two days after his arrest, no information is available regarding his condition or fate.
Ilam Province
Sirus Qobadi, a 22-year-old Kurd, was arrested on the evening of Monday, February 16, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Sina Ghiasi, 18, was arrested on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, after government forces raided his family home.
Pouria Soltanian, 22, was arrested on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Amirsaeed Chahartareh was arrested on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Behzad Sefidkhani, a resident of Ilam, was arrested on Monday, January 19, 2026, in one of the province’s villages.
These six individuals have been deprived of their most basic rights since their arrests.
Authorities have provided no explanation for the arrests or any charges. Their current whereabouts, legal status, and any charges against them remain unknown.
