Fate of eleven detainees, including two wounded protesters, remains unknown across multiple Iranian cities

At least eleven people, including two wounded protesters, a student, a woman, and two Baha’i adherents, have been arbitrarily detained by Iranian government forces in the cities of Tehran, Neyshabur, Rasht, Gorgan, and Qaen, with no information available regarding their whereabouts or condition.

The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights has verified the identities of the following detainees:

Tehran

Parsa Moslehi-Far, a musician and former political prisoner, was arrested on Tuesday evening, January 27, and taken to an undisclosed location.

Erfan Tabatabaei and Rabi' Maleki, two Baha’i adherents from Mashhad, were arrested in Tehran in late January and transferred to unknown locations.

Raheleh Moeini, 23, a student residing in Italy, who had returned to Iran to visit her family, was shot and wounded during protests in Tehran’s Saadatabad neighborhood on Thursday, January 8, before being forcibly taken by government forces. Witnesses said she and a friend had taken shelter in an alley while waiting for medical help when she was abducted. More than 20 days later, no security or judicial authority has acknowledged her detention, and her fate remains unknown.

Danial Dabiri, a Tehran resident, was arrested on January 4 and transferred to GreatTehran Penitentiary.

Neyshabur

Dr. Babak Pouramin, an emergency medicine specialist, was arrested during a raid on his home on January 19 and transferred to Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.

Rasht and Bandar Anzali

Pezhman Amini, 35, a Gilak resident of Rasht, was arrested during a home raid on January 18 and taken to an undisclosed location.

Daniel Pashai, 29, a Turkish resident of Bandar Anzali and an Azerbaijani language translator, was violently arrested by intelligence agents in Rasht on January 14. Sources reported severe physical abuse during his arrest, and unconfirmed reports indicate he may have been shot and is currently in a coma. Pashaei has previously faced security-related arrests.

Qaen

Morteza Mousavi, a resident of Qaen in South Khorasan Province, was arrested during protests on Friday, January 9, and transferred to an undisclosed location.

Gorgan

Mehran Sasouli, 20, a resident of Gorgan and the sole provider for his family, was arrested without a warrant and taken to an undisclosed location.

Unknown Locations

Masoud Yousef Hasirchin, a translator and administrator of the Telegram channel “Sharq e Vahshi,” was arrested during recent protests. He is known for translating critical political and social texts and publishing commentary on economic hardship and currency collapse. His whereabouts remain unknown.
