Three Kurdish men arrested in Ilam Province; whereabouts unknown

Three Kurdish men have been arrested by Iranian government forces in the cities of Malekshahi, Holeylan, and Asemanabad in Ilam Province. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Sabah Karimi, a resident of Malekshahi, was arrested on February 23, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location. No information has since been made available regarding his condition or place of detention.

In a separate case, Erfan Azizi, from Holeylan County in Ilam Province, was arrested on February 22, 2026, by government forces and taken to an unknown location. His fate remains unclear.

Similarly, Jaber Soltanian, a resident of Asemanabad in Chardavol County, Ilam Province, was arrested on February 21, 2026. More than a week after his detention, no information has been released about his whereabouts or legal status.

Authorities have not provided details regarding the reasons for their arrest, or the charges brought against them.
