Ten Kurds, including two minors, arrested in multiple cities across Iran

Iranian authorities have arrested at least ten Kurds, including two minors, in Bisotun, Bijar, Bojnord, Rey, Eslamshahr, and Hamadan amid an ongoing wave of detentions targeting Kurdish communities.
Based on information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests took place over recent days, with at least seven individuals, including two minors, detained during this period. Details by location are as follows:
Kermanshah Province (Bisotun)
Behnam Golshadnejad, a resident of Bisotun, was arrested without an arrest warrant on January 10, 2026. Despite repeated inquiries by his family, no information has been made available regarding his whereabouts or condition.
Bijar
Amir Abbas Ranjbaran, from Bijar, was detained during protests in the city on January 8, 2026. Informed sources said he was transferred to the Sanandaj Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center, after which no information has been released regarding his fate.
In a related case, Meysam Heidarnia, 37, from Bijar and an ICU assistant nurse at Imam Hossein Hospital, was also arrested during protests and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Bojnord (North Khorasan Province)
Mani Vafadar, a 17-year-old Kurdish minor from Bojnord, was arrested during protests on January 10, 2026, and taken to an unknown location.
Arshia Eisaizadeh, a Kurdish resident of Bojnord, was detained without an arrest warrant on January 9, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location. Sources said that during one month of detention, he has been denied access to a lawyer and all contact with his family, heightening concerns about his fate.
Aref Khanzadeh, a 17-year-old Kurdish minor from Bojnord, was also arrested on January 9, 2026, without a warrant and transferred to an undisclosed location. More than one month later, no information is available regarding his fate.
Rey, Eslamshahr, and Hamadan
Ali Aghamohammadi, originally from Helilan County in Ilam Province and residing in Rey, was detained on January 15, 2026, by the Intelligence Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Sirvan Shabani, a 25-year-old Kurdish man, a musician and conductor of a pop and traditional orchestra, from Kermanshah and residing in Vavan, Eslamshahr, was arrested during protests on January 9, 2026, and taken to an unknown location. No information has since been made available regarding his fate.
During protests in Hamadan on January 1, 2026, Mehdi Ghiasvand, 23, and Amirhossein Qorbani, 28, both residents of the city and maternal cousins, were arrested and transferred to undisclosed locations. Informed sources said Ghiasvand later briefly informed his family of his arrest during a short phone call, but no further information has been released regarding either individual.
