Iranian authorities arrest eight individuals across multiple cities

At least eight individuals, including two women and one child, have been arrested by Iranian authorities in recent days across multiple cities, according to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights. The arrests were carried out in Isfahan, Tehran, Tabriz, Yasuj, and Gachsaran.
Details are as follows:
Yasuj
Saeedeh Foroughifar and Mohsen Durji, a Lor couple from Yasuj, were arrested with the use of force on Saturday, February 7, 2026. They were taken into custody by Iranian authorities and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Tehran
On the same day, Qorban Behzadiannejad, an adviser to Mir-Hossein Mousavi, was arrested at his home in Tehran by Iranian authorities.
Separately, Amirreza Azizi, a 28-year-old theater actor from Tehran, was arrested on January 12, 2026.
Isfahan
Peyman Momeni, a resident of Mobarakeh, Isfahan Province, and his wife Maedeh Daneshmand Dizicheh were arrested on January 11, 2026. The couple, who work as traders and shopkeepers, were detained by Iranian authorities. Their current whereabouts remain unknown.
Gachsaran
Ali Siahpour, a 17-year-old Lor child from Gachsaran, was arrested on January 12, 2026, by order of the Gachsaran prosecutor. He was taken into custody by Iranian authorities and transferred, without his family being informed, to a detention center for children and adolescents in Yasuj. A 31-day temporary detention order has reportedly been issued against him.
Tabriz
Arshia Irani, a 22-year-old Turkish resident of Tabriz, was arrested on January 9, 2026, during protests in the city. His current whereabouts, legal status, and any charges against him remain unknown.
