Three members of the medical staff have been arrested by Iranian government forces, and no information has been released regarding their whereabouts or legal status.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohammadreza Abdollahpour, a 28-year-old anesthesia specialist from Tonekabon, was arrested by government forces in the city on January 23, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location. No details have been made public regarding the charges against him or the authority responsible for his detention.
Sheida Riahi Chelwani, a physician at Seyed Al Shohada Hospital in Isfahan, was arrested at her home by government forces on January 9, 2026. Since then, no confirmed information has been provided about her place of detention, condition, or case status.
In a separate case, Fatemeh Afshari, an operating room specialist at Atieh Hospital in Tehran and mother of an eight-year-old child, was arrested by government forces approximately two weeks ago and taken to an undisclosed location. She has been denied contact with her family since her detention.
