Hengaw – Saturday, March 14, 2026
More than one month after the arrest of Mohammad Moradi, a resident of Tehran, by Iranian security forces, there is still no clear information regarding his whereabouts or place of detention.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohammad Moradi, 45, and father of one child, has spent the past 34 days in detention under uncertain conditions. Repeated efforts by his family to obtain information from relevant authorities have so far yielded no results.
An informed source told Hengaw: “Since his arrest, Mohammad Moradi has only been able to make one very brief phone call to his family. During that call, he only confirmed that he had been detained and that a detention order had been issued against him, but he was not allowed to disclose his place of detention.”
Hengaw has learned that Mohammad Moradi was arrested on Sunday, February 8, 2026, during a raid by government forces on his home in Tehran. He was detained without the presentation of any legal warrant and transferred to an undisclosed location.
