Iranian authorities arrest Baha’i women Sima Septo and Nahid Falahati in Shiraz

Iranian authorities have arrested two Baha’i women, Sima Septo and Nahid Falahati, in Shiraz amid the Islamic Republic's escalating and systematic crackdown on members of the Baha’i community.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, security forces simultaneously raided the homes of Sima Septo and Nahid Falahati on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, arresting both women without presenting a warrant.
Informed sources stated that security forces also searched the homes of both Baha’i women during the raids.
Two days after their arrests, authorities have yet to identify the arresting agency or disclose the reasons for their detention, any charges against them, or their exact place of detention.
