Kurdish man Kianoush Adelpour arrested by Iranian intelligence in Saqqez

Amid a recent wave of arrests following the outbreak of conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel, Kianoush Adelpour, a Kurdish man from Saqqez, has been arrested by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence. Personal belongings belonging to his family were also confiscated during the operation.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at least 15 intelligence agents raided the home of the 35-year-old on the evening of Thursday, March 26, 2026, and arrested him.
Informed sources state that the agents conducted a violent search of the residence, seizing mobile phones belonging to Adelpour’s wife and children.
Hengaw has learned that authorities cited the possession of a satellite internet device (Starlink) as the reason for his arrest.
No precise information is available regarding his whereabouts or condition following his detention by intelligence forces.
